Suicide Prevention

In this top image, I tried using the yellow ribbon to portray people speaking. My quote os "Together WE can make a difference" I capitalized the WE to involve audience. "Speaking Can Prevent A Suicide" This quote was used to try to explain why the yellow ribbon has the word SPEAK across it.

For this bottom image, i transformed the yellow ribbon to represent a butterfly. I thought an image of a butterfly would portray Life itself so I chose to write "Choose Life". To incorporate the message of preventing suicide, i decided to write a quote where choosing life would be reasonable. As in choosing life will NOT harm you and will NOT harm others.

Suicide Prevention Proposal

For my suicide prevention proposal, i want to create an image where lips are covered by a ribbon. I want to put the bottom half of a woman's face where her cheeks will be blurred out and only her lips will stay in with full color. I want to put a yellow ribbon over her mouth with the word SPEAK on it. Im not sure what quote i want to put above the image but i want it to relate on saying something about suicides. Maybe something like, "together we can save a life" Or "Speak & help save a life". I don't want the poster to be too colorful since it is a serious topic & the font will most likely be in bold.

Video Reflection

In the video Game On, we learned about Video Games. I learned how the game industry has evolved over the years. I think the main reason games have evolved so quickly, was because of the competition between companies. All types of companies were getting involved which expanded and made the game industry much more diverse. I liked seeing how even different countries influenced the game industry. This video made me a little more interested in the gaming industry but I'm not sure Game design is right for me ^_^

Better version of the car tutorial

Kony2012 Poster ^.^

For this poster, i used mainly the color red for awareness. The red, black and green on Africa represents the African Flag. My quote "Brake Africa's Chains" came from the thought that Africa is apprehended because of Kony's influence on Africa itself. This was a very interesting project because it was a form of propaganda & so we had to find colors that stood out and sent the right message.

Kony2012

The video about Joseph Kony was very informational and inspirirng. I thought it was amazing that three boys from the United States could make such a huge difference to the lives of those on the other side of the world! I love this act because it isn't about self interest but about helping humanity. Everyone who knows about Joseph Kony should have done or should do something to stop him. I know our campus has an organization  that supports invisible children and that in itself can help a lot. It seems horrible that our government did not want to take interest only because Joseph Kony wasn't affecting us as a country. I'm glad they have changed their minds and are now willing to help the children being abducted in Africa. I loved this documentary and I hope people will spread the news about stopping Joseph Kony. It's really up to us to stop the horrors of Joseph Kony & The Invisible Children.

Zombie Zone Parody

In this project, Cristal & I created a zombie trailer. It was mainly about how zombies are not dangerous but funny. They fed on candy instead of humans, & played Hide N Seek. The zombies in our film were played by Cristal & her two younger siblings. I played most of the "victim" 'parts. It was a great experience to learn how to use Final Cut Pro efficiently. Filming was not always on time but we were able to finish our project on time. This project made us both very proud ^.^

Parody Reflection ^.^

      In this making of a parody, i enjoyed creating a script/ storyboard about zombies. This topic seemed a bit simple to do, but in the actual making of the film, it has been a little more difficult. I also liked filming our zombie scenes and acting for the scenes. I dislike the time management, since I have AVID after school it limits what we can do and on what days.
     A challenge would be the time management, and knowing how to communicate ideas on our zombie film. To make this film, we both have to come up with ideas we both feel are funny,  and so when we try communicating  our ideas, it isn't easy. Another challenge is making sure we can both film, when and where. We have after school activities limiting our filming.
     Our group works pretty effectively, we both try managing who can film what and when can it be done. We are both putting effort in it by filming on our individual time and as a group. We also work together in trying to connect the scenes for our zombie trailer.
     We still need to edit certain scenes. We need to transition them smoothly into the trailer, and make sure it  makes sense. We also need to find our background music we would like to use. We are almost complete, we just need to edit (:
     I think we would get a C because we have been working hard. It is pretty funny and looks like a movie trailer. I feel our editing would affect our grade. It is not done completely so it's kinda all over the place.

My Personal Story

This project was very interesting but difficult. It was confusing on how to upload the video to Imovie, then to Final Cut Pro. It was fun to learn how to use Final Cut pro and editing the film and sound. I thought it was fun to upload pictures that fit my story, and learning how to transition the pictures. I also struggled on uploading my video to youtube, but did it successfully (:  It was a great project!
